Tamim, the tournament’s leading run-scorer, smashed 3 fours and 7 sixes, showcasing his explosive batting prowess. He and Litton Das (25) provided a strong foundation, putting on a 75-run opening stand.
Earlier, Chittagong Kings, despite contributions from Naeem Islam (44) and Graham Clark (19), could only manage 148/6 in their 20 overs. Mosaddek Hossain and Nazmul Islam Apu were the pick of the bowlers for Dhaka, claiming two wickets each.
This victory moved Dhaka Capitals into the top four on the points table, keeping their playoff hopes alive. While Chittagong Kings suffered their fourth defeat, they remain in third place.
