In a thrilling final, Fortune Barishal defeated Chattogram Kings to secure their second consecutive BPL title. They became the third team, after Dhaka Gladiators and Comilla Victorians, to achieve back-to-back championships.
The franchise owners, Fortune Group, are delighted with the team’s success. To celebrate the victory, Fortune Barishal has gifted an iPhone 16 to every player and member of the team management. The news was confirmed to the media by team owner Mizanur Rahman.
Earlier, as the champions of the 11th edition of the BPL, Barishal received a cash prize of 2.5 crore BDT. Meanwhile, runners-up Chattogram Kings were awarded 1.5 crore BDT.
In the final, Barishal secured a 3-wicket victory over Chattogram. Tamim Iqbal was named Player of the Final for his impactful 54 runs off 29 balls. Additionally, Mehidy Hasan Miraz won the Player of the Series award, scoring 355 runs and taking 13 wickets in the tournament.
