PCB responds to BCB’s proposal, Pakistan to tour Bangladesh

In the Champions Trophy, Bangladesh will play their last match against Pakistan on February 28. After that match, the team will return to Dhaka. In the following months, Bangladesh’s schedule will be all about Pakistan. Towards the end of May, Bangladesh is set to tour Pakistan for a three-match ODI and T20I series. Then, Pakistan will also visit Bangladesh—beyond the scheduled series!

The BCB had proposed a three-match ODI and T20I series, and Pakistan has responded positively. They will tour Bangladesh in July-August. BCB President Faruk Ahmed confirmed this to a media outlet, stating that Pakistan has agreed to arrange this series outside of the FTP.

Speaking from Dubai, Faruk Ahmed said, “During major tournaments, discussions take place with various board officials. In our talks with the PCB, they agreed to tour Bangladesh.”

Based on discussions with PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, the Pakistan board will adjust its FTP to make room for the series. Currently, Pakistan is scheduled to tour the West Indies in late July, but they plan to reschedule that tour to visit Bangladesh instead.
