“Dehydration Was a Major Cause of Tamim’s Heart Attack”

Tamim Iqbal is currently out of danger. He is talking and walking. Doctors have stated that he is still under observation. Meanwhile, it has been reported that Tamim may be taken abroad for advanced medical treatment.

After he was admitted to Evercare Hospital at night, Youth and Sports Advisor Asif Mahmud rushed to see him. He mentioned that if necessary, Tamim could be taken abroad for better treatment. Fortune Barishal’s owner, Mizanur Rahman, also confirmed that efforts are being made to take him to Thailand. Tamim was playing in the BPL for this team.

Dehydration was a major cause of Tamim’s heart attack. According to Mizanur Rahman, the doctors themselves provided this information: “The doctors said he was suffering from severe dehydration. He didn’t drink enough water and perhaps didn’t get proper sleep at night. That’s a reason. Playing in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) during Ramadan in this heat seems extremely difficult to me.”

On Monday, Tamim suffered a massive heart attack. Naturally, he is now out of action. The former national team captain will have to wait at least three months before returning to the field. He will only be able to play if the doctors declare him fit. Everyone remains hopeful about Tamim’s return to the field.
