Rohit-Kohli Not Coming to Bangladesh Amid India-Pakistan Tensions!

India was scheduled to tour Bangladesh this coming August to play three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three T20 matches. However, according to Indian media outlet The Times of India, citing the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the possibility of India’s tour of Bangladesh taking place as planned is now very slim.

Sources told The Times of India, “Although the series is part of the calendar, nothing has been finalized yet. Due to the ongoing situation, there is a strong possibility that India will not tour Bangladesh.”

The heightened tensions between India and Pakistan have emerged following a recent attack by gunmen in Pahalgam, Kashmir. Many are concerned that a war could break out at any moment.

Meanwhile, tensions have also risen between India and another neighboring country—Bangladesh. In such a scenario, concerns have grown over the future of South Asian cricket. The scheduled tour of India to Bangladesh in August now appears uncertain.

Not just the upcoming Bangladesh series, but doubts have also been cast over this year’s Asia Cup. In response to the attack in Kashmir, India has already taken several measures, including banning the broadcast of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). On the other hand, Pakistan has responded with countermeasures of its own.
