Several urgent reforms have been proposed to properly organize the next edition of the BPL.

BCB President Aminul Islam Bulbul has been working tirelessly for the development of Bangladesh cricket. Following various allegations of corruption, mismanagement, and procedural shortcomings in the last BPL season, an independent investigation committee was formed. The committee has submitted its preliminary report to BCB President Aminul Islam Bulbul. Now, the Bangladesh Cricket Board will review the report.

According to a BCB press release, individuals or entities mentioned in the report will be brought under due process in line with the BCB’s constitution, ICC’s anti-corruption provisions, and the country’s prevailing laws. However, to ensure transparency and safeguard everyone’s rights, no names will be disclosed at this stage. The board has emphasized that the entire process will be conducted under strict confidentiality, in line with top international standards and ICC guidelines.

The BCB has stated that it will carefully review the committee’s recommendations and take appropriate measures at the right time. The press release further noted that the preliminary report contains several urgent reform proposals to properly organize the next BPL. These include franchise management, monitoring of anti-corruption mechanisms, and structural safeguards. The committee is expected to submit its final report by the end of next month, which will include detailed opinions and recommendations for structural reforms.

The BCB has made it clear that no further comments will be made regarding the preliminary report. It is hoped that in the upcoming BPL, no irregularities will occur and that everyone will carry out their responsibilities with integrity.
