Bangladesh women go ahead in the series by defeating Pakistan

Pakistan Under-19 women won the first match of the five-match T20 series against Bangladesh Under-19 women. However, the Tigresses leveled the series in the next match. Now, in the third match as well, Bangladesh’s girls have claimed victory. With disciplined bowling, the hosts defeated the visitors by 7 wickets.

On Sunday (7 December), in the third match of the five-match T20 series held in Cox’s Bazar, the hosts beat the visiting Pakistan team by 7 wickets. With this win, the junior Tigresses have taken a 2–1 lead in the series.

Winning the toss and batting first, Pakistan lost wickets early. Under pressure from the Bangladeshi bowlers, they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Struggling at 24 for 3 and then 31 for 5, Pakistan eventually finished on 86 for 8 in the allotted 20 overs. Imman Nasir scored 23 and Memuna Khalid added 19 for the visitors. For Bangladesh, Habiba and Atashi picked up two wickets each.

Chasing a modest target of 87, Bangladesh also had a shaky start, losing both openers with just 8 runs on the board. However, a third-wicket partnership between Jannat Imanta and Sadia Islam stabilized the innings. Sadia scored 35 off 28 balls before getting out, while Imanta remained unbeaten on 30 off 25 balls to secure the win for Bangladesh.

Bangladesh completed the chase with 39 balls to spare and sealed an emphatic 7-wicket victory.
