“Pakistan leveled the series 1-1 after a stunning 152-run victory over England in the second Test at Multan. Sajid and Noman were the architects of this victory, taking all 20 English wickets between them!
This was the first instance in the 21st century where two bowlers combined to take 20 wickets in a single Test match. In fact, no such feat had been achieved in the last 52 years of Test cricket. This is only the seventh time in the 147-year history of Test cricket that two bowlers have taken all 20 wickets in a match. This is the second time for Pakistan. In 1956, Pakistan pacers Fazal Mahmood (13) and Khan Mohammad (7) had achieved this feat against Australia in Karachi.
Sajid took 7 wickets for 111 runs in the first innings, while Noman took 8 wickets for 46 runs in the second innings. Noman’s spell is the best bowling figure at Multan, followed by Sajid’s.”
