Santner’s 5-For Spells Doom for India in Pune Test

India, chasing a challenging 359, was on the brink of a historic victory with a fiery start from Yashasvi Jaiswal. However, Mitchell Santner’s exceptional bowling performance turned the tide in New Zealand’s favor. His spell of 5/72, including a crucial run-out, left India reeling at 194/7.

India’s top order, led by Jaiswal’s aggressive batting, threatened to chase down the target, but Santner’s disciplined bowling and accurate line and length proved too much for the Indian batsmen. The Kiwi spinner exploited the conditions expertly, extracting bounce and turn to dismantle the Indian batting lineup.

With three wickets remaining and India still needing 165 runs, New Zealand is on the cusp of a historic series win in India. Santner’s heroics have put them in a strong position to achieve this feat.
