During Wednesday’s match (November 6), wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim injured his finger while keeping, which led him to bat at the 7th position. Due to this injury, he is expected to miss the second ODI as well. BCB’s chief physician, Debashish Chowdhury, confirmed this, stating that they suspect a fracture, making his availability for the next game uncertain. Further examinations are underway to get a clear assessment.
In the first ODI at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Afghanistan won the toss and opted to bat, scoring 235 runs in 49.4 overs. Bangladesh, in response, could only reach 143 runs in 34.3 overs, losing by 92 runs. This win puts Afghanistan ahead 1-0 in the series.
