For every cricketer, their cricket gear is the most valuable possession. Especially, a good-quality bat remains at the top of everyone’s wish list. However, due to various reasons, Bangladeshi cricketers, particularly young players, often struggle to acquire high-quality bats. Tamim Iqbal, a star player of the national team, has made that dream come true for the Youth Asia Cup-winning Bangladeshi team.
Last week, Bangladesh’s U-19 team defeated India to win the Asia Cup for the second consecutive time, bringing joy and pride to the country. To celebrate their success, Tamim ensured the young cricketers received a meaningful gift. It has been reported that Tamim presented each player with high-quality bats from the CA company. Interestingly, the players received these bats even before winning the tournament, as they were handed over to them in Dubai.
Tamim’s gesture of gifting bats is not new. He has often been seen providing bats to female cricketers and age-level teams. Once again, Tamim has demonstrated his generosity by supporting the young talents.
On another note, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president, Faruk Ahmed, has yet to meet with the Youth Asia Cup-winning team, as he is currently in the West Indies. It will be revealed how much cash reward the cricketers will receive once he returns to the country.
