This performance broke the previous record for the best bowling figures in BPL history, previously held by Mohammad Amir.
Taskin’s figures are now the third-best in recognized T20 cricket worldwide. Only Syazrul Idrus of Malaysia and Colin Ackermann of England have better bowling figures in T20 matches.
Taskin’s destructive spell started early. He dismissed Litton Das and Tanzid Hasan in his first two overs. He returned in the 17th over to remove Shahadat Hossain Dipu and Chaturanga de Silva. In his final over, he took three wickets, narrowly missing a hat-trick.
