The Pakistan cricket team has arrived in Bangladesh to take part in a three-match T20I series. On Wednesday morning, the first group of Pakistani players landed in Dhaka. This group included Salman Ali Agha, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Nawaz, Saim Ayub, Khushdil Shah, Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, and several members of the coaching staff. The rest of the squad arrived in the afternoon.
Speaking at a press conference at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Pakistan’s T20I captain Salman Ali Agha said,
“Bangladesh is a good team in any condition. In their own conditions, they are even more dangerous. A glance at history will show that they have defeated many strong teams. We know it’s going to be a tough challenge here, and we’ve come prepared for that.”
He added,
“International cricket is all about constantly facing new challenges. Things won’t always go as planned. Just like life, a cricket career requires adaptation. We want to answer everything on the field instead of overthinking.”
The series will begin on July 20, with the second and third matches to follow on July 22 and 24, respectively. All the matches will be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka, starting at 6:30 PM (local time).
As of now, Bangladesh has not yet announced their squad for the series. Currently, Liton Das’s team is in Sri Lanka playing a T20I series. They are scheduled to return home after today’s third and final match. The first T20I against Pakistan is set for July 20.
