In today’s Pool D match, batting first, Bangladesh scored 75 runs in the allotted 6 overs. In reply, Sri Lanka were bowled out for 61 runs in 5.1 overs. Off-spinner Mosaddek Hossain starred with the ball, taking 3 wickets for 20 runs in 2 overs.
Before facing Sri Lanka, Bangladesh were scheduled to play against Hong Kong, but that match was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to rain. Opener Habibur Rahman contributed 21 runs off 7 balls, hitting two fours and two sixes. In the final moments, Abu Haider remained unbeaten on 6 off 10 balls, or the total might have been even higher.
