Bangladesh Set to Face Netherlands in Sylhet; Matches to Be Streamed Worldwide

Sylhet, August 29 – Bangladesh will kick off a three-match T20I series against the Netherlands on August 30 in Sylhet, with the games available live on both television and online platforms.

After earlier uncertainty over broadcast rights, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has confirmed that fans at home and abroad can follow the series. T Sports and Nagorik TV will televise the matches in Bangladesh, while OTT platform Tapmad will provide coverage online, including in Pakistan. In India, the series will stream via FanCode, and global viewers can tune in through T Sports’ official YouTube channel.

The series comes in place of the postponed Bangladesh–India fixtures and will serve as Bangladesh’s final preparation ahead of the Asia Cup in the UAE. For the Netherlands, it’s a crucial build-up opportunity for the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka.

Bangladesh skipper Litton Das stressed the importance of the contest:

“Every international match is a challenge. The Netherlands are a good side. They may not have played in these conditions before, but they’re used to good pitches. It will be a challenge for both teams.”

He added that Bangladesh may experiment ahead of the Asia Cup but remain focused on results:

“If we get the chance to test a few players, we will. But this is international cricket—we’re here to win.”

The series opener will be played on August 30, followed by matches on September 1 and September 3, all at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
