On Thursday (January 23), Hamza Choudhury shared a post on his social media, featuring a picture of himself within the Bangladesh flag and writing, “One dream, one journey.” The 25-year-old expressed his dream of playing football for Bangladesh, under the red and green flag, on his verified Facebook page.
Meanwhile, after joining the Bangladesh national camp, the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) is making special arrangements for Hamza. Discussions are underway for a separate doctor and physiotherapist for him, in addition to the coaching staff.
BFF Media Committee Chairman Amirul Islam Babu said, “Of course, there will be some conditions with Hamza. He will also ask us to take certain steps. Whatever conditions he has, we are ready to fulfill them. From physiotherapists and doctors to everything necessary, we are prepared to provide all of it.”
There are rumors that Hamza could make his debut on March 25 against India in the upcoming Asian Cup qualifiers. This match will be held in India, and the probable venue is the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Shillong.
As per the usual rules, English clubs generally release players for international matches 72 hours before the fixture. However, there is speculation that Leicester City, Hamza’s current club, may relax this rule for him.
