Tension prevails both on and off the field in Bangladesh cricket. Disappointing performances by players on the field, coupled with various controversies off the field, have placed the country’s leading sports board in a difficult period. Amidst all this, a virtual meeting was held yesterday with the members of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Board of Directors.
The meeting primarily focused on reviewing the BCB’s financial report for the 2023–24 fiscal year and discussing the board’s annual budget and financial matters.
However, as no resolution was reached during the virtual meeting, it was adjourned. In a statement released by the BCB yesterday, it was announced that the board officials will meet again tomorrow at the BCB office. The annual budget and financial matters of the board will be discussed during that meeting.
