BPL Listed as a ‘Risky League’ by Cricketers’ Global Association.

Speaking to a local media outlet, a disgruntled cricketer from Rajshahi revealed, “Playing for this team has become embarrassing even in front of my family. They are telling me to leave and come back home. Right now, I’m just waiting for the BPL to end. Playing for such a team damages one’s dignity. Not receiving payments on time destroys any motivation to perform well.”

The foreign players in the team are equally shocked by the franchise’s unprofessional behavior. Over the years, top-tier foreign cricketers have become less inclined to participate in the BPL due to its reputation. The Cricketers’ Global Association has also listed the BPL as a “risky league” for players.

Even the foreign players who do join are now reconsidering their participation. One of Rajshahi’s overseas players commented, “We are nearing the end of the BPL, but we’ve just received a contract document. However, there’s still no resolution regarding payments. In the future, I will think twice before accepting an offer to play here.”

According to sources within the Rajshahi team, the foreign players are contemplating a drastic decision—boycotting matches—if the payment issue is not resolved immediately. They have stated they will not step onto the field until their pending salaries and 12 days of daily allowances are cleared.

It is worth noting that Rajshahi is scheduled to play Rangpur Riders today (Sunday) at 6:30 PM. Whether this payment dispute will lead to any dramatic developments before the match remains to be seen.
