Indian star pacer Jasprit Bumrah is unable to play in the Champions Trophy due to injury. On Sunday (February 23), India and Pakistan faced off in a high-voltage match in Dubai. Before the match, Bumrah was seen on the field, engaging in friendly conversations with teammates and receiving the ICC awards.
Half an hour before the match began, cameras spotted Bumrah on the field. He was seen chatting with his teammates, standing alongside them. He hugged Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and other players one by one. He also had a conversation with coach Gautam Gambhir. Upon seeing Mohammed Shami, he gave him a warm hug.
Bumrah has been named ICC Men’s Cricketer of the Year and ICC Men’s Test Cricketer of the Year. Additionally, he has been included in the ICC Test and T20I Teams of the Year. ICC Chairman Jay Shah presented him with two trophies and two caps. It has been reported that he was invited to Dubai specifically to receive these awards.
Bumrah sustained an injury during the Sydney Test on the Australia tour. He was unable to bowl on the final day of the Test. He also missed the limited-overs series against England due to the injury.
Jasprit Bumrah is present on the field but absent from the squad. Due to injury, the Indian star pacer was not included in the Champions Trophy team. However, despite not being in the squad, he traveled to Dubai to support his team. From the stands, the left-handed star pacer continues to cheer for his team.
