“Captain Liton Das voices frustration after consecutive series defeats”

After losing two consecutive T20 series against the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan, the national team cricketers have returned home. The Bangladesh team arrived on Monday (June 2) evening. The first group of players landed in the evening.

This group included Najmul Hossain Shanto, Shamim Patwary, Liton Das, and Tanzid Hasan Tamim. Also in the same group were Towhid Hridoy, Tanzim Sakib, and Shariful Islam.
Another group is expected to arrive in Dhaka at 11 PM tonight.

Yesterday, Bangladesh faced defeat again in the final T20 match against Pakistan. Despite batting first and scoring 196 runs, the bowlers failed to defend the total. As a result, Bangladesh suffered a heavy 7-wicket loss and were whitewashed 3-0 by Pakistan.

Following the series defeat, captain Liton Das expressed his disappointment, saying:
“Yes, of course, we didn’t bowl well. In the previous two matches, our fielding and batting weren’t good. Today the batting was good. We definitely need to learn how to bowl to specific batters. These are the areas where we must improve.”
He remains hopeful of doing better in the future.
