The FIFA Club World Cup recently concluded with a final between Chelsea and PSG at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. But now, the United States is preparing for something even bigger—the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which kicks off on June 11 next year. While the USA is the primary host, Canada and Mexico are co-hosting the tournament as well.
The 2026 World Cup will feature a record 48 teams and a total of 104 matches. Among them, 78 matches will be played in the United States, while Canada and Mexico will host 13 matches each.
In a recent statement, FIFA announced exciting news for football fans: general ticket sales for the World Cup will begin on September 10, 2025. This announcement puts an end to the speculation and controversies surrounding ticket availability.
According to sources from beIN Sports, fans will have to spend between $82 and $1,882 USD to watch matches live from the stadium. In Bangladeshi currency, that’s roughly ৳10,000 to ৳230,000—a significant increase from the Qatar World Cup, where prices ranged from $28 to $276 less.
Tickets will be available through FIFA’s official website, though the full pricing chart has yet to be officially published.
FIFA will also offer deluxe package options, which include transportation, hotel stays, and match tickets. The starting price for these packages is around $2,500 USD per match, and for pitch-side lounge seats, it could go up to $5,350 USD.
U.S. President Donald Trump has said his administration is preparing to welcome over 10 million visitors during the tournament. Meanwhile, FIFA President Gianni Infantino has stated that the 2026 World Cup will be the biggest and greatest football event in history. He added,
“We’re eagerly waiting to welcome the world to North America. Canada, Mexico, and the United States will host the most spectacular sporting event ever. We encourage all fans to get ready and secure their spots.”
