In a FIFA International Friendly match, Bangladesh led Bhutan 1-0 at halftime, thanks to a goal from star footballer Hamza Choudhury. The sensational midfielder gave Bangladesh the lead as early as the 6th minute, capitalizing on a corner kick.
Hamza, who has played in the English Premier League, has been a figure of excitement among Bangladeshi fans — and he added to that hype by scoring just six minutes into his debut on home soil. The crowd erupted with joy as he found the back of the net.
The goal came from a precise corner taken by Jamal Bhuiyan, who recently returned to the national team. Hamza rose high inside the box and beat the Bhutanese goalkeeper with a powerful header, giving Bangladesh an early 1-0 lead.
This was Hamza Choudhury’s first-ever goal for Bangladesh, making the moment even more special. Head coach Javier Cabrera had hinted earlier that Hamza would feature in this friendly against Bhutan, along with Fahmidul Islam, a player based in Italy. Both players were named in the starting lineup.
