Chattogram Kings’ batters put on a stellar show in the BPL final. Openers Parvez Hossain Imon and Khawaja Nafi started aggressively, helping their team post a strong total. With both batters scoring fifties, Chattogram set Fortune Barishal a challenging target of 195 runs.
On Friday (February 7) at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium, Barishal captain Tamim Iqbal won the toss and opted to field first. From the start, Parvez Imon attacked the bowlers, while Nafi played a more cautious innings. Imon reached his fifty in just 30 balls, followed by Nafi, who took 37 balls to reach the milestone. The opening partnership added 121 runs.
Nafi was dismissed after scoring 66 off 44 balls, with pacer Ebadot Hossain providing Barishal’s first breakthrough. After Nafi’s departure, Graham Clark joined Imon and maintained the momentum. Clark played an aggressive knock, forming a 70-run stand with Imon.
Clark was dismissed for 44 off 23 balls when the team’s score reached 191. Shamim Patowary followed soon after, scoring 2 runs off 2 balls.
By the end of the innings, Chattogram posted a formidable 194/3 in their allotted 20 overs. Imon remained unbeaten on 78 off 49 balls. Mohammad Ali and Ebadot Hossain picked up one wicket each for Barishal.
