Jishan’s Five Sixes in an Over: A T20 Masterclass

Sylyet Division opener and power hitter Jishan Alam scored his first T20 century against Dhaka Division today in the second game of the NCL T20 at Sylhet International Stadium. Jishan Alam is known for his explosive and aggressive batting style.

In the 14th over bowled by Md Arafat, Jishan Alam dismantled the bowling attack by hitting five consecutive sixes. He began with a straight hit for the first six. When Arafat bowled around the wicket, Jishan played from the back foot and struck the ball over long-off for another huge six. The fourth ball from Arafat was short and Jishan went down on one knee to send it soaring over long-on. For his third six, he picked a ball that went to deep mid-wicket. Finally, Arafat bowled a full toss, which Jishan executed beautifully, sending it over deep extra cover for a massive six. He reached his century in just 52 deliveries, establishing himself as a future prospect for Bangladesh cricket.

Sylhet posted a total of 202 runs against Dhaka Division. In response, Ariful Islam played a fantastic innings, and after 10 overs, Dhaka was 96 for 2, with Ariful scoring 65 runs from 36 balls.
