The Pakistan Super League (PSL) players’ draft is currently taking place at Lahore Fort, where 39 cricketers have registered. Among them, two Bangladeshi cricketers, Rishad Hossain and Nahid Rana, have secured teams.
Leg-spinner Rishad Hossain was picked in the Silver category by Lahore Qalandars for $25,000. On the other hand, young pacer Nahid Rana was selected in the Golden category by Peshawar Zalmi for $50,000.
Another Bangladeshi cricketer, Liton Das, was picked from the Silver category. The wicketkeeper-batsman was signed by Karachi Kings.
However, two prominent Bangladeshi cricketers, Mustafizur Rahman and Shakib Al Hasan, remained unsold in the Platinum category during the initial call, as no franchise showed interest in them. Similarly, players in the Diamond category, including Taskin Ahmed, Towhid Hridoy, and Hasan Mahmud, also went unsold.
