Messi’s Current Contract with Inter Miami Ends This Year, Extension Likely

The magician of the football field, Argentina’s World Cup-winning star Lionel Messi, is nearing the end of his contract with Inter Miami. Only about four months remain. At this point, speculation continues over whether he will stay at the Florida-based club for a few more years. However, the club’s coach, Javier Mascherano, remains hopeful that Messi will renew his contract.

Messi’s current contract is set to expire in December of this year. According to American media reports, Inter Miami authorities are in talks with Messi over a new deal that would extend his stay until 2028.

Speaking on the matter, Mascherano said, “We all want Leo to renew his contract. It’s a decision between the club and Messi. They are discussing it privately. If and when they reach an agreement, it will be announced officially.”

The potential new deal between Messi and Inter Miami is still in the realm of speculation. Although Mascherano did not officially confirm the rumors, he expressed hope that they would come true. “I’ve also heard the rumors,” he said. “But all I can say is that we all want Leo to stay with us.”

The 38-year-old Messi joined Inter Miami in July 2023. Since his arrival, he has consistently delivered crucial performances for the club. Now, the question remains—how long will his chapter in Miami last?
