Mustafiz’s Bowling Rattles Afghanistan

Afghanistan’s cricket team is struggling against the bowling attack of Mustafizur Rahman. After scoring 30 runs with only one wicket down, Afghanistan quickly lost three more wickets for just five additional runs.

Mustafiz bowled two overs, giving away only five runs while taking three wickets. As soon as the “Cutter Master” came into the attack, he succeeded. In two consecutive overs, he dismissed three top-order Afghan batsmen.

In the eighth over, Mustafiz dismissed Rahmat Shah. Then in his next over, he sent back Sadiqullah Atal and Azmatullah. With 36 runs for four wickets in 10 overs, Afghanistan found themselves under pressure.

Taskin Ahmed delivered the first blow to the Afghan side. Afghan opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz attempted a drive off Taskin’s full-length delivery, but it edged to wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim’s gloves. Gurbaz returned for 5 runs off 7 balls, including one boundary, with the team’s score at 7 runs in 1.5 overs.

This match is the first in a three-match ODI series between Bangladesh and Afghanistan. The match is being played at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in the UAE, where Afghan captain Hashmatullah Shahidi won the toss and chose to bat first.

Bangladesh team lineup: Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Soumya Sarkar, Towhid Hridoy, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah Riyad, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Rishad Hossain, Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, and Shoriful Islam.
