Just a day after playing for the national team, Mustafizur Rahman is featuring in the IPL today (Sunday). He has been included in the Delhi Capitals’ playing XI for their match against Gujarat Titans.
Delhi, having lost the toss, will bat first in their home ground. The match is scheduled to start at 8 PM Bangladesh time. Mustafizur has been brought in as a replacement for Mitchell Starc. Delhi, led by Axar Patel, have fielded a team comprising three pacers and three spinners.
There was some uncertainty about Mustafizur’s availability for today’s game due to travel fatigue, as he played for Bangladesh just yesterday and flew from Dubai to India. However, the team management believes he is fit enough to play, so he has been included in the lineup.
It’s worth noting that Mustafizur joined the Delhi Capitals midway through this IPL season. On May 14, the franchise confirmed his signing. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has granted him a 7-day NOC (No Objection Certificate), allowing him to play in the IPL from May 18 to May 24.
