On Wednesday (March 19) at 2:30 PM, following a meeting held at the City Hall in the capital, the President of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) stated, “There is no room for syndication within the Football Federation. Everyone will earn their place based on merit, and if any indication of foul play is found, the federation will take action.”
Referring to Fahmidul’s case, he added, “This is not a crisis; we have not excluded Fahmidul. He is talented, but we wanted to give him more time. Bangladesh has home matches in June, and we may see him on the field very soon. I would tell the supporters—there is no reason to be disappointed.”
Regarding Fahmidul’s exclusion, Sports Advisor Asif Mahmud stated, “There is no opportunity to deprive deserving players in the national interest. BFF must ensure that no player selection falls victim to nepotism or syndication. If any corruption is found in this regard, the government will take action against those involved.”
A section of supporters is blaming “syndication” for Fahmidul’s exclusion. Now, the issue of syndication has also been raised by Sports Advisor Asif Mahmud. During his meeting with BFF President Tabith Awal, the Youth and Sports Advisor instructed vigilance regarding syndication.
