No Reception for Hamza, Special Security Provided – BFF

On March 25, England Premier League player and expatriate footballer Hamza Choudhury is set to make his debut for Bangladesh in the Asian Cup qualifiers against India in Shillong. Hamza will arrive in Bangladesh on March 17, landing directly in his hometown, Sylhet, rather than Dhaka. The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) is prepared to welcome him.

Due to the limited time, BFF will not organize any reception for Hamza. However, the federation has arranged special security measures for him from his arrival in Sylhet to his journey to Dhaka and then to India.

Fahad Karim, one of BFF’s vice presidents, stated that a special vehicle and a dedicated official will accompany Hamza throughout his travels. “He will land at Sylhet Airport on the 17th. Three to four executive members of BFF will welcome him. After that, he will head to Habiganj. BFF has arranged transportation for him, including a special vehicle and continuous security provided by an office assistant. The local administration has also been informed,” said Karim.

Karim further added, “There is no opportunity to host a reception due to time constraints. He will directly join the camp. If he had arrived in Dhaka on the 17th or even the 18th, a reception or other event could have been arranged.”
