Pakistan series starts tomorrow – BCB issues several guidelines for spectators

The three-match T20I series between Bangladesh and Pakistan will begin tomorrow (Sunday) at 6:00 PM. All matches will be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.

Ahead of the series, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has issued a number of important guidelines for spectators attending the matches. The instructions for entering the stadium are as follows:

Items not allowed inside the stadium:

  1. Firearms, laser pointers, flares, explosives, fireworks, matches, lighters, cigarettes, video cameras, professional still cameras, flags with sticks, vuvuzelas, mirrors, knives, cans, bottles with caps or corks, whistles.

In addition, any item not listed above but deemed dangerous or threatening to players or spectators by security personnel will also be prohibited.

  1. BCB will not be held responsible for any personal injury, accident, or damage that may occur in the stadium premises or stands.
  2. If any spectator is considered a threat to the safety of the playing field or gallery, or is deemed to cause public nuisance, BCB reserves the right to deny entry or remove the person from the gallery.
  3. Food and drinks can be brought from outside, but security officials have full authority to inspect them and may deny entry if they pose a security concern.
  4. Unauthorized branding of any kind inside or outside the stadium is strictly prohibited.
  5. BCB is committed to taking all necessary actions within its power to prevent and eliminate corruption in cricket and reserves the right to hand over offenders to law enforcement.
  6. The use of fireworks or any form of pyrotechnics is strictly prohibited and considered a punishable offense under the law.
  7. Anyone involved in betting or corrupt activities will be deemed a criminal and reported to law enforcement or BCB’s anti-corruption officials.
  8. Smoking is strictly prohibited within the stadium premises.
  9. All spectators must comply with the ICC’s Anti-Discrimination Policy. Violation may result in immediate expulsion from the stadium.
  10. If anyone insults, threatens, or intimidates any individual (including players, match officials, or fellow spectators) through language, gestures, or any other means based on race, religion, culture, color, ancestry, nationality, ethnic origin, gender, sexual orientation, disability, marital status, or maternity status, and such behavior is proven, the individual will be removed from the stadium and may face criminal charges.
