For the first time, Royal Champs are taking part in the Abu Dhabi T10 League. The newly formed team will be led by none other than Shakib Al Hasan, who will play not only as a player but also as the captain.
The franchise has officially confirmed Shakib’s appointment as captain.
Expressing his excitement, Shakib said,
“It’s an honor for me to lead Royal Champs. I’m excited to work with such talented players and coaching staff. We’ll try to bring excitement both on and off the field and deliver a thrilling, competitive season for the fans. As a new team, our energy and enthusiasm are exceptional.”
Team coach Sir Courtney Walsh stated,
“We’ve tried to build a balanced squad that can adapt to the fast pace of Abu Dhabi T10. The players have shown great commitment and understanding of their roles, which will be crucial for us to make a strong impact in the new season.”
Team CEO Rajashree Shete added,
“Our goal was to create a team that reflects skill, determination, and unity. The energy within the team is promising, and we’re confident that Royal Champs will deliver performances that embody our vision of success.”
Royal Champs will play their first T10 League match on November 19, at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, against Vista Riders.
