Bangladesh’s U-19 cricket team has made the nation proud by winning the Asia Cup for the second consecutive time. Their historic victory has been celebrated across the country.
Interim government’s Sports Advisor Asif Mahmud extended his heartfelt congratulations to the team for their outstanding achievement. In the final held on Sunday at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Bangladesh were bowled out for 198 in 49.1 overs after losing the toss and being sent to bat first.
India, a strong contender in the tournament, struggled against the fiery bowling of Bangladesh. Losing wickets at regular intervals, they were bundled out for 139 runs in 35.1 overs.
Led by captain Azizul Hakim and supported by bowlers Iqbal Hossain Imon and Fahad, the young Tigers secured a 59-run victory, sparking celebrations as they lifted the prestigious title once again.
