Sylhet International Cricket Stadium among the world’s most beautiful

Surrounded by lush green hills, tea gardens, and pristine nature, the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium has earned global recognition. UK-based cricket media outlet Cricket 365 has listed it among the seven most beautiful cricket stadiums in the world.

In its report, Cricket 365 described the Sylhet Stadium as “a feast for the eyes,” located in the northeastern region of Bangladesh, nestled between hills and vibrant tea estates. “The serene green surroundings make it feel as though the game is being played in a green paradise. The picturesque backdrop of Sylhet’s natural scenery is especially captivating during morning or evening matches, when mist gathers over the hills and the twilight glow lights up the field,” the report added.

Built in 2007, the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium made its international debut on March 17, 2014, during the ICC T20 World Cup match between Zimbabwe and Ireland. Since then, it has hosted numerous international series, the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), and several other major tournaments organized by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).

The other venues named in Cricket 365’s list of the world’s most beautiful cricket stadiums are:

Newlands Cricket Stadium (South Africa)

Adelaide Oval (Australia)

HPCA Stadium, Dharamshala (India)

Gwadar Cricket Stadium (Pakistan)

Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium (West Indies)

Lord’s Cricket Stadium (England)
