Who are the umpires for the final of the Champions Trophy?

The ICC has announced the list of officials for the highly anticipated final of the Champions Trophy, set to take place on Sunday, March 9, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, where India will face New Zealand.

For this crucial match, England’s Richard Illingworth and Australia’s Paul Reiffel will serve as the on-field umpires. This marks the third consecutive Champions Trophy final where Illingworth will officiate.

Illingworth also officiated in the finals of the 2023 ODI World Cup and the 2024 T20 World Cup, demonstrating ICC’s continued trust in his experience alongside Reiffel. Both umpires are part of the ICC’s Elite Panel of Umpires.

In the semifinals of this edition, Illingworth officiated the match between India and Australia, while Reiffel was in charge of the game between New Zealand and South Africa in Lahore.

The third and fourth umpires for the final will be Joel Wilson (West Indies) and Kumar Dharmasena (Sri Lanka), respectively. The match referee for the final will be Ranjan Madugalle from Sri Lanka.
