The Champions Trophy kicked off today. In the tournament’s opening match, New Zealand opener Will Young set a remarkable milestone.
In the inaugural game against hosts Pakistan, Young reached the magical three-figure mark. He completed his century off 107 balls, hitting 11 boundaries and one six.
This was his fourth century in ODI cricket, achieved in his 41st match. Previously, the 32-year-old star had scored two centuries against the Netherlands and one against Bangladesh.
On Wednesday, at Karachi’s National Stadium, Pakistan won the toss and opted to field first, sending New Zealand in to bat.
